What can photography teach us about creativity and innovation?
Here's a quick excerpt from my upcoming book...
..."it is an illusion that creativity exists without conditions, rules or construct.
Whether it be song writing, which requires strict musical and lyrical structure, involving composition and mastery of different instruments.
Or photography: requiring an understanding of subject, light, composition, and technical mastery of specific tools.
Or the construction of a new bridge: one must appreciate weight distribution, geography, gravity and the population for which it may serve.
We start to see that creativity is not just a splash of colour - it does not exist in isolation - that creativity plays best, dynamically, within a structure, reacting to conditions".

I only have three rules for my photography:
1. It must be candid
2. I prefer monochrome
3. Avoid photoshop
