On a Friday morning in March, espresso in hand, I casually sketched out a creative concept for an independent banking platform.
Ten minutes later I called my 'Swedish Jesus' Robert Andersson... "I think I found something".
Within two months we'd created a pitch-deck, a one sheet, a landing page and a three year financial plan.
The following month Robert was on his way to Sweden, pitching to two Swedish investors for $10 million. All they had seen was the 60 second investor video I had produced.
Robert met both investors, the meetings went well, they asked for the pitch deck and Robert returned home to Melbourne.
Last Saturday, Investor no.1 contacted us... "We're in, I just need to see the business plan".
That same day, Investor no.2 contacted us... "If I wanted to share the cost with some friends, would that be ok? We just need to see the business plan".
So now Robert and I are finalising the business plan and this is where I say... "watch this space".
